In iOS 8, there is a discreet pop up menu, while in Android L, a user can set the notification according to the relevancy.
The power consumption has been very much improved on these platforms. Google with its “Volta” feature gives the insight of where the battery’s power gets wasted. Secondly, the “power saver mode” in the Android saves lots of energy. On the other hand, the iOS 8 does not come with the power saver mode, just like Android, but it shows the complete information regarding where and how the battery’s energy is being consumed.
